Project 5 ( Free Eye Checkup)

The members of Uttarpara Anubhuti once again stepped forward with compassion and dedication by organizing a free eye checkup and spectacles distribution campaign for specially-abled children in the Konnagar Basai area. The initiative was taken with the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to see the world clearly and live with confidence and dignity.
Many children with special needs often face difficulties in receiving proper medical attention, especially when it comes to eye care. Understanding this need, the members of Anubhuti arranged a complete free eye screening camp where experienced professionals carefully examined the children and identified vision-related problems at an early stage.
The campaign was not limited to eye examinations alone. Free spectacles were also provided to children and individuals who required visual support, ensuring that financial limitations would not stand in the way of better eyesight and a better future. The joy and excitement on the faces of the children after receiving their glasses was truly heartwarming and inspiring for everyone involved.
Along with medical support, the initiative also focused on spreading awareness about the importance of eye health and the prevention of vision-related diseases. Parents, guardians, and local residents were encouraged to understand the importance of regular eye checkups, early diagnosis, and proper care to protect eyesight from a young age.
This meaningful initiative reflected the true spirit of humanity, inclusion, and social responsibility. Through small yet impactful steps like these, Uttarpara Anubhuti continues to work towards building a more caring and supportive society for specially-abled and underprivileged children.
The campaign was not just about providing glasses—it was about giving children a clearer vision of life, confidence for the future, and the assurance that they are valued, supported, and never alone.
